Herbs. Try these hormone-regulating herbs:
  • vitex berries
  • black cohosh root
  • red ginseng root
  • dang gui root

Herb Formulas. Mix 1 teaspoon each of black cohosh, vitex, ginseng, licorice root, dang gui, and motherwort in 4 cups water and simmer for 20 minutes. Drink 1 cup of the tea 2 or 3 times daily before meals. Or, mix 1 teaspoon each of the individual tinctures in 1 cup of water and drink 1/2 cup, twice daily.
